Character
History: Matthew was born on a frosty December morning to Melissa and Jacob Wilson. Both were happy and proud of their newborn son, especially after a rocky past that led to this agreement. This also meant Jacob had an additional male in the household, one who could learn his ways and style. Like any other father, it was a moment of father and son relationship that seemed magical. However, he had not predicted in the long run that Matthew would side against him. Anyway, Matthew's mother's physical being had not handled giving birth to him well. Along with more abuse and damage done over the two years before Casey was born, it became more evident she would not last too much longer. Nonetheless, she hung in there for Matthew. And when she found out another child was on the way, her strength rose, but temporarily and a simple bravado.

Casey Wilson was born on an abnormally chilly April night. Matthew was in the care of a nurse, the fright that would ensue that night changing Melissa's mind. When a cesarean section was implemented, Melissa Wilson died after giving labor to her second and final child. Matthew cried the entire time. He had lost an essential connection in surviving from their father, someone who was there to protect. Instead, he harmed. He did not understand it then, but his newborn sister was in grave danger. In the wrong place at the wrong time. But Matthew and Casey were very close, as siblings should be, especially in their time of need. He took better care of her, supplying love and attention and protection that Father left absent. But at times, it required much more.

As he grew older, drinking became a daily issue in the Wilson household. It was a pathetic and weak way to relinquish the fact Melissa was no longer on the face of the earth. Consequently, his drinking led to violence, taken out on Casey primarily. However, Matthew stepped in multiple times and took an equal polishing. It eventually became embarrassing and nerve-wrecking when Casey and Matthew went to school. Excuses were also made up prior to the day, ashamed of their abusive house. However, Casey's stories were more convincing than Matthew's, thanks to avoiding his studies and lacking a solid creativity.

At eleven years old, Jacob became more unstable. Unlike drunken fathers, drugs became his adrenaline. It led to physically brutalizing Casey, sometimes, doing the same to Matthew when he stood up for his innocent sister as always. Then it happened; Casey ran away from home and left Matthew in turmoil. When he first discovered, he panicked. He had not considered how his father would react. His only thoughts were whether Casey was still alive and how was she doing. And why she had not told him prior to the escape. This in particular remained in his head. Were they not connected? Were they not closer than peas in a pod? Yet she left him in this hellhole. And she ran into another hellhole of different proportions. As much as instinct told him to find her, hatred toward their once solid relationship as brother and sister grew stronger. It was only fueled further by each punch, kick, and stomp his father implemented. Each one was definitely strengthened when he found out Casey left. At times, he did seem to care, but never took it earnestly. Eventually, those concerns were absent and everything was focused on Matthew.

At thirteen years old, two years of physical abuse definitely did damage to Matthew. Significantly, it dealt a much stronger blow to his conscience. One night, as his father came home, he smelled of alcohol, drugs, and seemed to be in a fit of remorse. After so much time, he had lost both Melissa and Casey. As much as it was not shown, he deeply cared for them both, in a sick and twisted perspective. And Matthew took the full brute of it. The conflict ended later that night with Matthew requiring immediate medical attention. Somehow, his father tricked authorities into believing a crook committed the absurdity. It did not last long, however. Until then, Matt was hospitalized up to a week. Doctors said he was diagnosed with dissociative amnesia, seemingly from severe head injuries. But further inspection included if he suffered repressed memory as well. One cold and dreary night, he recovered after slipping in and out of consciousness for nearly a week. He then escaped the hospital, heading toward a single objective.

Along the way, Matthew hot-wired a vehicle and obtained a wooden baseball bat. It was not long before his home loomed before him. Like a possessed zombie bent on executing the final deed, he entered. Empty at first, noise begun upstairs and that's where they came face-to-face. Solemn and gravely disturbed, there was not time for words before he mauled his father with relentless anger. The police arrived, but a few minutes too late. The scene displayed an inferno-blazed house, a blood and charred-stained young man standing in the front. When they tried to apprehend him, he threw the blood-soaked bat at one of the officers. It hit him square in the face, causing him to wrench in pain. Force assumed and minutes later, Matthew was hauled off. Apparently, his father was making a last minute ditch before the authorities arrived. Matthew had arrived at a better time than he could imagine.

Like the other delinquents with infamous backgrounds, before he turned eighteen, his sentence was ordered to be shipped off to an island. Around this time, however, he was no longer present. Life no longer mattered.

Personality: Matthew is mentally destroyed. Due to the traumatic childhood he led, he suffered amnesia. Unlike a total memory wipe, he cannot recall anything about his childhood and the significant people within it. Some call it 'too hard of a bump to the head'. It is presently clear, however, he is repressing this memory to avoid suicide as his ultimatum. Nowadays, Matthew is a quiet, but outspoken young man. Although he cannot recall it, the past has made him into a resilient and protective young man. Violence is one of the few actions he cannot tolerate, especially when one person is an innocent bystander. Other actions he cannot tolerate is being touched, surrounded by strangers, and people acting aggressive toward him. Other social problems do exist with him, such as a low tolerance of men. On the contrary, he enjoys the presence of women, not for sexual intimacy, but because of his mother's love for him and Casey. Ask him why he acts as such, he will not be able to recall. However, in due time, his memory will progressively recover. Positively, Matthew is an adventurous, highly curious young man. Learning new aspects of his new home is a significant plus for him and exercising is always executed during spare time.
