It had been one freaking hell of a day. He was a little confused and felt more than just a little frusturated that he couldnt really get around without fainting. Keeping himself fed seemed to be a challenge because he never got around to picking the right fruit at the right time, and when he did, he usually picked the wrong fruit, and he usually slept for a few days. JC now got the idea to pick and collect, keeping the fruit he had now collected in a small piece of cloth he had found one day when he was awake. Now he stood by the gorge, wearing his dirt caked, ripped jean shorts. His hair was slowly growing out, and the blue was starting to fade into a light teal color.
"Why is it whenever I pass out, a fuckin' boat passes and drops off a fucking ton of kids who just want no rules? Fuck..." JC muttered angrily, kicking a rock off the side and taking a munch out of a fruit he had no particular love for.
ooc: shut up. its a bad post, but i posted kthx.

Casey was getting frustrated more and more every day. The loss of Aiden was tearing her apart, slowly, from the inside out. She didn't know whether he was alive or not, what they'd done to him, where he was, or if she'd ever see him again. It had been two months or so, a long time. It didn't help matters that she was almost dead certain there was another one coming. Damien had gotten a lot more protective of her, hardly letting her out of his sight in case something were to happen. Anything was possible. This island was so... Unpredictable.
Despite Damien's best efforts to keep tabs on her, she'd managed to slink off for a bit, she's probably get a lecture later on, but she couldn't help it. She needed her alone time, even if it did have disastrous consequences. When she was visibly carrying, she'd make sure to stick close to the others, but for now, nobody knew. Not even Montana. Just Damien, and she doubted he'd go telling everyone-- that'd make her an easy target, and that was the last thing he would want. Freezing in her tracks as she heard a mutter nearby, she ducked under cover of the brush, peering through thick green leaves towards the edge of the gorge.
"Holy shit it's that blue haired kid," she shouted rather loudly, springing from the bushes nearby him.

"Holy shit it's that blue haired kid,"
What? JC turned and saw a familiar face, and allowed a grin to come over his face. "Holy shit its that blonde chick." JC echoed, turning to face the blonde he had once liked. Still liked? Liked. Anyways. JC moved a little closer to her and smiled weakly, unsure of what to say or how to say what he wanted to. "What've you been up to, Casey?" Was the only thing that could come to his mind. He didnt want to tell her that he had trouble staying alive basically, and he definatly didnt want to tell her that he had missed her like fuckin' crazy because he didnt want to come off as clingy after being away for so long.
"Other than ... being away from... me?" JC said pathetically, rolling his eyes at just how lame he sounded. 'Yay for awkward moments, JC! Way to drop the bomb.' JC thought miserably to himself, his weak smile faltering already.

"That blonde chick has a name, I'm positive you remember it," she scolded him playfully. She knew damn well he remembered her name. His liking towards her was far from unnoticeable, and while she liked him too, there was another time and place for such things, and here and now wasn't one of those things. He was like her best friend, the first one she'd really opened up to, though she'd hardly opened up to him at all. He didn't know anything of her past, she hadn't let him into the workings of a dysfunctional mind, but she was at ease in his presence, something that he'd accomplished a lot faster than anyone else. Except maybe Damien, but he'd had the help of a skeleton to scare the shit out of Casey.
Watching him curiously, she listened to him before tilting her head ever so slightly. He seemed off. That usual cocky JC confidence was lacking. Half frowning, she ambled towards him and sprung at him in the last few feet between them. Throwing herself at him, she caught herself around his neck, hugging him tightly. "Why so insecure Blue-Haired-Kid?" she questioned.

"That blonde chick has a name, I'm positive you remember it,"
"I dunno what I remember now a-days, Casey." JC said, not holding out on her anymore, forcing himself to smile as she scolded him. He had missed her like hell and he wasnt going to tell her because he wasnt like that anymore. Atleast he didnt ... think he was like that anymore. JC braced himself almost at the last minute as she launched herself at him. Holding onto her, JC rested his chin on her shoulder, before lifting his head up to look at her as she spoke.
"Why so insecure Blue-Haired-Kid?"
"Im not. Im just tired. Havn't actually slept in a few days, I've been knocking myself out apparently." JC said, allowing a truth to fall out into the open. "Not like, hitting myself over the head, just... exhausting myself out to the point where I ... knock myself out." JC explained lamely, again kicking himself mentally before putting her down gently. He didn't realize he had been holding her for so long, and now that she was down, he almost missed her lack of weight in his arms.

Casey had almost forgotten how it felt to be close to JC. Despite the fact that he was on an island, and taking a hot shower was out of the question, he still smelled good, a strange thing to notice, but she couldn't quite help it. Upon launching herself at him, she'd nestled her face into the crook of his neck rather affectionately. She'd missed him. He'd missed so much. Where the hell had he been through any of this? It was like he'd gotten to the island and crawled under a rock for months. She decided not to remind him that she'd been seven months pregnant the last time he'd seen her, not entirely keen on answering questions.
Every time she answered questions as to where her kid was, something broke inside of her. And those somethings were building up- you could only pull out so many jenga tiles before the whole thing collapsed. A worried scowl came to her face as he spoke. "Why haven't you slept?" she questioned, silently allowing herself to be placed back on the ground that she'd abandoned in favour of JC's arms.

"Why haven't you slept?"
"I dunno. I didnt feel like it a few days, but I'm fine." JC replied, as he watched her silently before he turned away, running a hand through his hair. His lovely hair, the pride of his life. Ruined by spending the rest of his life on this damn island. "Not to mention I've had sleeping problems for a while now, so it's no biggie." JC shrugged and looked around, hoping to find a different way to explain his irriational fear of the dark and cramped places. He was almost eighteen - seventeen? - and he was still scared of the dark. Loser.
"Why are you out here? Shouldn't you be ... somewhere else?" Oh, way to go, JC. Next time just tell her that she's not welcome or something. God. He mentally kicked himself again, shaking his head slightly.

"Fine people don't pass out from exhaustion simply because they don't feel like sleeping," she commented, but quietly, not wanting to press the matter too much. She knew JC could be touchy about people getting protective. She couldn't help it, perhaps it was just that motherly instinct she was slowly getting in touch with. Fucking instinct, fucking being a mother. What the hell was all this? "Have you tried sleeping during the day?" she asked. Sleeping during the day was one of the weirdest things ever.
Especially on the island, it was way too hot during the day, but hey, to each his own. Personally, Casey couldn't sleep until the moon was high in the sky and the air had cooled, and she couldn't stay asleep past sunrise. She frowned ever so slightly as he spoke, shaking it off in a matter of seconds. Don't you have to be somewhere else. She was all too familiar with what that meant. She'd heard that one numerous times as a kid, mostly from her father, occasionally from her brother when he was trying to protect her from something.
Glancing away, she suddenly seemed to lose that air of confidence, stepping sideways and back out of nervous habit. "Yeah, actually... I'm supposed to be meeting someone at the waterfall. I just saw you and figured I'd say hi... You should touch base with the rest of the gang sometime," she replied lamely before turning back towards the way she'd come.
